# Point-to-Point Connections

Learn how to use the Point-to-Point Connection tool in MachineBuilder to attach components or subassemblies at precise locations. This tool is ideal for fine-tuning designs.

## **Activate the Tool**

Select **Point-to-Point Connection** from the Navigation Bar or press **P** on your keyboard to enable the tool. This allows you to select specific connection points on your assembly.

- The **Snapping Increment** determines the spacing between selectable points on extrusion bodies.

**Select Connection Points:**

**Adjust Orientation:**

1. If multiple orientations are possible, use the on-screen arrows or keyboard arrow keys to adjust the part's orientation. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/3eee4d14-5ca0-4ea6-b426-1c19393e6a5e/Images/Documentation/image(661).png)
2. Click elsewhere or press **Enter** to confirm placement.

**Note:** You cannot select two points from the same component or assembly.

> **Tip:** Use the P shortcut to quickly access the Point-to-Point Connection tool.
